A Soundtrack for Living Out Your Best Mediterranean Summer Dreams
For my dad’s 70th birthday, my husband and I made him a home movie of his childhood using footage filmed on a Super 8 camera from the 1950s-1970s. I put together a soundtrack encapsulating my Italian-American family, who spent much of the 20th century making California their home. This playlist has now been on repeat in our house for weeks, and it is such a joy watching my children dance to these songs introduced to me by my grandparents.
